Ivy Lodge Residence

Concept - Contemporary | Scandinavian | Cosy Bungalow located in Longford, Ireland.

This Longford home was recently featured in the May 2023 issue of ‘Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living ’magazine.

Drawing inspiration from the original quaint. EP Interiors renovated this 1970s Bungalow allowing it to breathe new life and encompass a more contemporary feel. Working within the existing footprint of the bungalow and knocking down two internal walls, the space was reconfigured to offer three bedrooms, the master bedroom with dressing room and ensuite, a large open plan kitchen/living/dining area, a formal sitting room and a family bathroom.

Another key feature EP Interiors had designed for the client, was to incorporate a ‘hidden’ utility room behind the kitchen cabinetry which blended in with other cabinet doors. This allows an easily accessible storage area, avoiding any visual clutter from the living space when it is on a laundry day.

The natural colour palette of white, beige, natural timber and warm greys used throughout the design of this home also offered the perfect backdrop for the homeowner’s large collection of artwork. A pop of colours in the communal area was introduced to bring in some contrasting and quirky elements to the newly designed calming and sophisticated home.
